Discover the vibrant flavors of Greece right in the heart of London at Ithaki Greek Kitchen, a charming Greek restaurant located just a minute’s walk from the station at 5-6 Hanger Green, London W5. This culinary gem excels in delivering authentic Greek cuisine that balances tradition with a warm and welcoming dining atmosphere, making every visit feel like a genuine family gathering in a sun-dappled taverna by the Aegean Sea.
Ithaki Greek Kitchen’s menu is a celebration of Greek gastronomy, featuring an enticing range of starters, grills, and vegetarian delights. Begin your meal with cold starters that are nothing short of irresistible—imagine the salty richness of Marinated Kalamata Giant Olives (£3), creamy Authentic Feta Cheese drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and wild oregano (£5), or the cool, herby freshness of Tzatziki, made lovingly with authentic Greek yogurt, cucumber, mint, garlic, and dill (£5). The Tyrokafteri, a melted feta cheese infused with herbs and spices, offers a spicy kick that complements these humble yet profound flavors.
For those craving something heartier, the grill section is a standout. The Bifteki (£14), a homemade Greek beef burger, delivers a juicy, flavorful bite, served with your choice of fries or fresh salad. For a richer indulgence, the Gemisto Bifteki (£15) is stuffed with feta cheese, marrying the savory taste of seasoned beef with the tangy, creamy character of Greek cheese. Traditional tastes shine through in the Xoriatiko loukaniko—a rustic village sausage prepared in the authentic way and served with fries (£13), offering smoky, spiced satisfaction with each mouthful.
Vegetarians and vegans are well catered for here. Treat yourself to the Haloumi Pita Wrap (£7), where grilled halloumi meets fluffy pita bread alongside crisp chips, ripe tomato, white onion, and tzatziki—an outstanding combination bursting with texture and fresh flavors. The vegan Grilled Vegetables Pita Wrap (£6) offers a colorful, wholesome alternative full of smoky, charred sweetness and vibrant Mediterranean notes.

This restaurant is fantastic! They kindly introduce their signature Greek food to us, and we enjoy every dish! You must try their oily cheese, village sausage and the slow cooked lamb. The others are delicious as well. The restaurant owner is the treasure of this restaurant, he is welcoming and told us a lot about this home country Greece. Overall, this is a perfect place to enjoy your family dinner or to hang out with friends! Do visit this restaurant!

A place that makes you feel at home. Went there twice and both times the service and food were above and beyond. Pro: . The food is delicious, even while writing this comment I feel hungry. . Big portions, don't be shy on asking for a piggyback. . The owner will make everything to make you feel welcome. The second time I went there it was to celebrate my anniversary and he gave us some complementary wine and beer. Little details that makes you feel the owner cares about the customers. . You can walk in or use Groupon for a better price (but limited food choice). I had both experiences and didn't notice any difference in terms of service or quality. Cons: . You will get full! The portions and the flavour will leave you heavy and happy after dinner. . It wasn't a problem for me, but it happens a couple of times the delivery drivers came in instead of waiting in their designated area. This caused unnecessary stress and discomfort for some customers inside.

10/10 experience here. The owner and the staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Great selection of classic Greek dishes at very reasonable prices. The food itself was excellent, highly recommend the moussaka, whitebait and kalamarakia. Special mention to the corn pitta bread: distinctive and delicious.

First time ever and boy was it good! Such a welcoming place - George the owner and his staff really take pride in their food and service. The food was outstanding - it’s genuine home cooked food and huge portions. On a summers evening eating Al fresco, it felt like I was in Greece! You will not be disappointed. Definitely try the saganaki and the pastitsio.
